MACDL Is The Pre-Eminent Association Of
Criminal Defense Lawyers In Massachusetts.

With more than 700 members representing clients in virtually all criminal matters, MACDL is devoted to protecting the rights of the accused, to providing support to the defense bar and to serving as a voice for the defense before state and federal courts, legislatures and agencies. We have been a strong advocate for the adequate funding for the compensation of court-appointed counsel. We provide continuing legal education, brief banks, networking and mentoring to our members.

Through our Lawyer’s Assistance Strike Force, we provide legal representation to criminal defense lawyers attacked for providing vigorous representation of the accused.

MACDL is an affiliate of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
