Cell phone evidence is an important part of a rapidly-growing number of criminal cases. As a criminal defense attorney, you want to know whether the government’s analysis of your client’s cell phone records, texts, data, GPS or CSLI (cell site location information) is accurate. And you want to know if government witnesses are properly qualified to interpret and testify about that kind of information. In representing your clients, you often want to find out whether various types of information in their cell phones can assist you in mounting a defense.

In this CLE you will learn from cell phone expert Joe Nicholls and defense attorney Chauncey Wood. Joe is the principal and founder of Nicholls Data Recovery LLC, is a senior level computer expert with broad hardware and software skills, as well as specialized training and experience in cellphone forensics. Chauncey has over 20 years’ experience as criminal defense attorney, is a board member of MACDL and a member of the litigation committee for the New England Innocence Project.
